
Chris J. Foley is the Associate Vice President and Director of IU Online–Indiana University’s highly successful home to online education.
Chris began his journey in university administration in 1996 when he joined IU’s Office of International Admissions as a file clerk while completing his master’s thesis. In the quarter of a century since that time, he’s taken on greater responsibilities and roles at the university.
Along the way, Chris has had the opportunity to present internationally on a variety of topics involving online education.
As an instructor of organizational leadership for more than 10 years, Chris has had the pleasure of working with students to explore leadership, organizational change, and ethics in leadership.
Originally from Arkansas, Chris was a Sturgis Fellow at the University of Arkansas, where he graduated Summa cum Laude with majors in history and Russian studies. He moved to Indiana to complete master’s degrees in English and creative writing before finding his calling to be a university administrator.
